I'm Avery Tong. My background is in product and market strategy, but AI has been a constant thread running through everything I do — long before it became the topic everyone talks about.

I started following the space seriously around the early transformer era, and somewhere along the way it stopped being just professional interest. I build side projects with AI, experiment with new models as they drop, and yes — I made my first real investment returns by betting early on the AI wave. That experience gave me a different lens: I think about these tools both as someone who uses them and as someone who watches where the money and attention actually flow.

What I Write About

  • Model comparisons and benchmarks — what the numbers actually mean in practice
  • AI tools and platforms — what's worth your time and what's hype
  • Industry analysis — funding trends, market moves, and what they signal
  • Practical guides — how to actually use these tools to get things done

Why AI Pulse

Most AI coverage falls into two camps: breathless hype or dense academic writing. I wanted something in between — honest takes grounded in how these tools actually behave, written for people who are curious and capable but don't have time to wade through everything themselves.

Every article is researched against primary sources, community feedback, and real usage patterns. When I have a strong opinion, I say so. When the evidence is mixed, I say that too.

Editorial Standards

  • Primary sources first — claims are verified against official documentation, published papers, and benchmark data before publication.
  • Transparent sourcing — every article includes a References section linking to original sources.
  • No sponsored content — all reviews and comparisons are independent. No payment for coverage or rankings.
  • Corrections policy — factual errors are corrected promptly. Report issues via GitHub.
